The Indian Chai - Sencha Green Tea

• Sencha Green Tea is arguably the most popular tea in Japan, and is also produced in other Asian countries. Due to its refreshing effects, it is particularly served in casual settings. Being a green tea, it is abundant with antioxidants, and has ample health benefits as well, particularly for metabolism. It can be brewed both as a warm or a cold beverage. It also has moderate amounts of caffeine. Sencha Green Tea is produced by harvesting the top two leaves and the bud of tea plants. These leaves are then rolled to look like needles, and steamed to enhance their rich flavours. Our Sencha Green Tea is grown in the valleys of Arunachal Pradesh.

• Sencha Green Tea Leaves

• Put 1 teaspoon (2 gram) of tea leaves in a cup. Pour boiling water into the cup. Cover the cup and let it steep for three to four minutes. Strain and serve. Preferred without milk.
